KARA’S STORY

Kara grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She earned her BA from Simon Fraser University, majoring in anthropology and history, and later obtained her JD from Gonzaga University School of Law. Before entering law school, Kara held positions in various industries, including aviation, film, and television. Additionally, she worked as a freelance photographer specializing in weddings and portraits.

Throughout her two-year accelerated program at law school, Kara served as an associate editor for the Gonzaga Law Review. She acquired hands-on experience as a Rule 9 intern, handling matters related to entity formation, estate planning, and intellectual property. Before coming to Morgan Hill, she worked in public defense in Clallam and Mason Counties, representing indigent clients primarily in district court, vacating felony and misdemeanor convictions under Blake, and occasionally providing coverage in juvenile court. Today, her practice centers on family law.

Kara likes attending concerts, pursuing digital and film photography, and exploring new places through travel. She shares her home with two cats, enjoys playing the piano, and tinkers with analogue synthesis.
